So, I Tried Google Analytics

After all it's free, but I belong to a lot of Yahoo groups and forums and it just wasn't tracking those hits like I was hoping it would. Other things were missing as well that would instantly tell me what was going on.

I Used The Website Stats from the Hosting Service I Use

But the graphs and charts weren't much better. I'd find the popular pages but then have to open another section to see where the visitors were coming from and try to connect the two because the graphics just weren't doing it.

Looking right at the "raw statistics" gave me a lot more information including information that wasn't in the graphs and charts, but, as raw stats would be, the information I wanted was all over the place.

So, I Finally Broke Down and Wrote My Own Program Which I can Now Share with YOU!

You have the option of creating a link right on the menu to download your latest statistics for your website or blog.

YOu can track multiple tracking codes or web pages or single tracking codes or web pages. Don't worry, I'll show you what all that stuff is.

You get the results in a text format so you can look at them on your computer or your smart cell phone.

Your results are date stamped so you cannot overwrite them accidentally when you run your web stats program the next day or week.

I recently added a top section of your tracking results which shows where your greatest number of hits came from (okay from which they came. Prepasitions, grrr).

I'll have to stop making it available to the public. I'm sorry, as a former teacher, I love helping people and enjoy watching them grow and become successful, but if it begins to hinder my ability to feed my family, I will have to stop the release of the software.
