On your desktop you'll find Programs by Rick Double click on that folder then double click on DumbSubmit 4 Twtter by NewbieServices.com Now double click on Start DumbSubmit 4 Twtter by NewbieServices.com (spelled that way for a reason) Click OK after logging onto the internet. Cancel will exit the program
Twitter will load using Internet Explore which helps to automate tweets. Then this hyperlinked menu will popup.
The first hyperlink, gives you more information about DumbSubmit for Twitter. There's a link to this page for directions as well below the Autorun link. Open Information File Folder with Text Information Files will do just that. Go ahead and open that to set up your tweets. Don't worry there's an example file in there for you. You can rename it or save as and create as many different tweet files you like. Number your tweets like so 1=This is my first tweet 2= This is my second tweet Etc.. Remember to have your newest tweets last as that is what your Followers will see first. Sign into your Twitter Account Check the box that remembers you're logged in. If the program misses the Update button it will close the internet browser it opened with Twitter and redo your tweet. Thus Twitter must keep you logged in. To Avoid Problems The program first looks for a window containing the words Internet Explorer. It then looks for a window containing the word Twitter. To avoid confusing close any windows with the word Twitter in them. Next Click Autorun Program by NewbieServices.com A menu will pop where your tweet files are located. Check the taskbar for a title that starts Select in case it winds up under an open window.
Clicking Open will select your tweet file for the program.
How Does DumbSubmit for Twitter Work?
Twitters already open, but remember to check the Remember Me box to stay logged in. Once you click okay the program will begin putting your tweets in the tweet box, tabbing down one, then sending the Enter command to the update button. You may not use your computer while the program is active. Leave your mouse alone and your keyboard as well. The ESC key on your keyboard will exit the program. When the program submits your tweets, it uses 11 characters to stamp the YearMonthHour on your tweets so you can track them easily. When it's done it will pop this box up.
You may move this box around by dragging it with your mouse. OK will give you a 30 second warning box then start the program. Cancel will exit your program.
The program actually closes the Twitter browser and restarts it which automatically places the cursor in the tweet box. The best time to run this program is when you leave the house to run errands. Now your computer is working for you not you for it! Requirements for DumbSubmit for Twitter Your hard drive must be your c drive, which it is 99% of the time Windows XP or higher A willingness to have more spare time. Known Issues The program sometimes doesn't grab a thing called an object and it will stop working. This hasn't happened very often to me and the amount of tweets I get far makes up for it. As mentioned above the program looks for a window containing the word Twitter and gives it focus. To avoid confusion close any other files which have the word Twitter as a title. The program occasionally misses the Update link when it tabs and clicks Enter. The program will correct this by closing the window and reopening your Twitter page, then retweet. The Select file menu sometimes hides behind an open browser or other window. Look at your taskbar for a window starting with the word Select and left mouse click on it if this happens.
