What is a Landing Page

A landing page is basically where your prospects first enter your website from any external source..

Okay Great, That Means I Have a Landing Page and Can Stop Reading This?

WRONG!

There are good landing pages and very poor landing pages. Plus, we're addressing the concept here of making multiple landing pages quickly to ensure all your keywords are covered.

Okay, I'll Hang Around a Bit and Read This. What's in a Bad Landing Page?

Nothing! A short description of the product and an order link. If your prospect has questions, too bad! In many cases I find this is because the vendor is more afraid of spam than they are maintaining good contact with their prospective buyers. Well guess what. You get telephone calls, junk in your mail box and you're going to get spam in your email. That's part of doing business anywhere.

The difference between being online and offline is your competition is one click away!

To continue after my short rant, you generally won't find graphics to draw the eye, or any reason whatsoever your prospect should go back to your site if the prospective buyer doesn't buy right away. When you go to the store, do you buy the first thing you pick up or do you put it down and look at some other products for a bit? How often do you go back to that same product you originally picked up?

You also won't find a mailing list offering good on topic advice in order to stay in contact with prospects.

What Does a Good Landing Page Have?

A good landing page will have a title tag that doesn't say home or index and has keywords in it. It will have a description tag which not only has keywords for the search engines, but a compelling sales pitch to get the prospect to click on the link found in the search engines via the keywords.

Email capture to build your email list is a must for future sales. All the successful stores do this online and offline, are you?

Presell your prospective buyer. What benefit or problem will be solved with your product?

Finally a link to your sales page with a compelling sales pitch.

Okay Great, I'm Convinced, But How Do I Make Multiple Landing Pages Quickly?

.By using the same template and an iframe!

Make a table. Place the same title and description you use in your title and description tags on top of your page along with a subscription to your newsletter. The top third of your page is what is viewed first and will make people stay on your page! If your prospect leaves before buying, at least you've offered them a subscription to your newsletter.

In the next row of your table type in

Click Here for Full View of Your Title again and use a false target in the hyperlink to create a new browser window (don't worry I have a solution for this if you don't know what I'm talking about).

Add this code in your second to the last row of your table. Replace ( with < and ) with >

(IFRAME name="title for your frame" src="YourWebPageWithNoSpaces" width=100% height=100% marginwidth=0 marginheight=0 frameborder=0 scrolling=auto)(/IFRAME)

Finally at the bottom of the page place your newsletter subscription information again to give your prospect one more chance at your newsletter.

Your final page should look like this Click here

Now, repeat the same process with different titles, descriptions and keywords. Your sales page, which I'm going to have to assume you placed your heart and soul into developing your beloved product, will do the brunt of the work. Again the first third of your main sales page being the most important AND visible via the iframe to tempt your prospect to click upon the link.

Conclusion

Assuming (yes I know) buyers use the same keywords to search for a product is the equivalent of assuming they eat the same thing for dinner. Everyone's mind thinks a little differently. Your job as the vendor, is to learn about your prospects and demonstrate how your product will help them.

Instead of trying to learn how to insert hyperlinks and iframes, why not utilize one of my most popular products Affiliate Universal Page Maker. It's not only used to make affiliate pages hiding your affiliate link, but landing pages in general as I did in the sample, with a quick way to utilize your keywords in titles, descriptions AND will generate that iframe for you automatically!
